Path of Righteousness Ministries Battering Intervention and Prevention Program
(PRM BIPP) is an Accredited Program through the Texas Department of Criminal Justice-Community Justice Assistance Division (TDCJ-CJAD) since 2010. We have been on the Dallas County District Attorney, the DFW Metroplex and surrounding counties providers referral list since that time.

BIPP – Battering Intervention and Prevention Program

BIPP – Battering Intervention and Prevention Program

(24-Week Program English)

Abusive behavior comes in many forms. Clients will actively participate in groups, discuss his/her abusive behavior, and assume responsibility for their behavior. They will discuss their abuse and efforts to change, confront other group members in their environment who are abusive and report on their efforts to the group. They will hold themselves accountable for their actions and the damage it has caused them and their family.

AMP – Anger Management Program

AMP – Anger Management Program

(12-Week Program)

Chronic anger is increasingly becoming a detrimental part of our daily lives. This program will provide the client with information and education on this increasing problem in our society. It is designed to help us identify the sources of the client’s anger, the cognitive (reasoning) aspects, basic anger behavioral principles, and basic cognitive and behavioral sequences (continuous series).

EPS – Effective Parenting Skills

EPS – Effective Parenting Skills

(8-Week Program)

At PRM EPS, parents learn seven essential life skills: focus & self-control; perspective; communication; making connections; critical thinking; taking challenges; and self-directed engaged learning. In turn, parents should teach their children; and not only will they learn how to survive, but to thrive in this vast society, today and in the future. As parents, we must practice these skills ourselves to promote them in our children.

TFAC – Thinking For A Change

TFAC – Thinking For A Change

(25-Week Program)

We will learn to be more aware of our thoughts and feelings because some of the most important parts of what we do are hidden from others. Paying attention to our thoughts, feelings, attitudes, and beliefs helps us understand why we react in certain ways. This will lead to more control over our actions. Thinking for a Change provides us with the opportunity to learn some new skills and learn ways to have more power and control over the choices we make.

BLS – Basic Life Skills

(8-Week Program)

There are some very important skills that we can all agree that every human being should have, including wilderness and survival skills. However, today’s society, there is another set of skills we should acquire, basic life skills. Never underestimate the importance of being prepared for an emergency, business, or simply knowing how to accomplish everyday chores. In this program you will find many skills that are necessary to be self-reliant in this evolving world. This program will begin with the basics and assist you in developing the necessary skills you need.

SLS – Social Life Skills

(12-Week Program)

This program is designed to shine a light on human strengths instead of their weaknesses. We will assess, understand, and build on effort, energy, and enthusiasm to attain better life skills. The aim is to understand, measure, and stimulate positive attributes to promote high self-worth. We will identify individual strengths and self-assessment exercises so that participants can gauge their progress in building these characteristics. It is believed that we all are capable of some change, and this assumption underlies the purpose of this program.

MMP – Mosaic Mentoring Program

(Continuous)

This program was designed to reach out to youth and young adults ages 12-17 that are seeking guidance of some sort. It may be something as simple as “what to wear” or as serious as “how do I cope with losing a loved one”. The situations that our young people face every day are countless. At PRM, we are here to help. Our goal is to take the youth that are lost and wandering; and supply them with a sense of direction and purpose. With God’s help we can impact their lives to become responsible, encouraging, dependable, and self-sufficient young men and women.

ROAR – Reality of a Relationship

(Continuous)

ROAR will pave the way for many topics as it relates to intimate relationships. This will be a rough journey for most, but necessary for all that feel the need to venture into reality. It will show you “how to break your addiction to a person,” and identify the symptoms of a bad relationship; enable you to recognize if “you are a woman who loves too much;” the destructive patterns of “men who hate women and the women who love them;” the warning signs of “men who can’t love;” and help you realize that “love is a choice.” We focus on other relationships including parents, siblings, children, boss, co-workers, enemies, strangers, etc. Let’s get in touch with our own reality!

UTMP – Unspoken Truth Men’s Program

(Continuous)

Unspoken Truth allows men to speak freely among other men. We open the floor to discuss issues and concerns that men have difficulty talking about with their spouses, partners, friends, parents, etc. No one will be judged in this group. Real men can speak freely. Real men can cry. Real men can share unspoken truths about their pain and their pleasures. Change should be your destiny; because without it, your quality of life is non-existent. If you have low standards, it affects every aspect of your life. This program will help you discover how to be a kingdom man and how to take the lead in raising the standard back to where God originally placed it. We will begin with scripture, touch on life application, and end with words of wisdom.

AMFP – Abusive Men-Fatherhood Program

(6-Week Program)

This program was created to supplement work already being conducted in BIPP that addresses men’s beliefs that support violence against women. Addressing Fatherhood focuses on men’s entitlement in relationship to their children’s mother as a parenting partner. This curriculum seeks to expose the beliefs that support entitlement and replace them with a way of thinking that is nonviolent and inclusive of the children and their mother. It is designed to be incorporated into an already existing program for men who batter that works in collaboration with the courts and local domestic violence agencies as part of a coordinated community response, (DAIP).

LGOGT – Life Goes On…Grief Therapy

(12-Weeks/Continuous)

Loss is a part of everyone’s life at some point and comes in many forms that we all must face.

We will help the grieving person move forward when they are able to adjust in a way that allows for personal growth. It is a recognition of living life fully, being grateful for all they have, with genuine capacity for joy, in a newly constituted way and formulating a vision for the future. This is their; “new normal.”

Our Approach

PRM recently relocated from Mesquite, TX in Dallas County to Ellis County. Currently, all classes are virtual on Zoom. We serve all counties throughout Texas, as well as other States, if the offense took place in Texas or if the client has relocated here.

Due to the many challenges today that clients/victims encounter; roadblocks, justice system, a declining economy, death, divorce, and so much more; we strive to offer much needed resources to provide organizational strength in rural communities. We are available for volunteer services as well as donations of clothing and other items, serving families in need of a helping hand.
